Buffalo releases sleek plug n play media storage device

The product is designed to enable fast, secure backup and storage of media content, via media players and gaming systems such as the Sony PlayStation®3, as well as seamless integration with desktop and laptop devices.
The DriveStation AV, built with standard USB 2.0 connection, provides immediate storage expansion for an array of devices including media players and gaming systems. The device is fitted with an LED, across the front panel offering an immediate capacity reading telling you how much free space is left on the disk.
The DriveStation AV automatically turns on and off with the device it is connected to, conserving energy and making it ideal for use with a variety of multimedia products. The DriveStation AV comes complete with the Buffalo Tools suite of complimentary software for desktop and laptop PCs. Buffalo Tools offers enhancements such as TurboPC and TurboCopy, increasing file transfer and copy performance by up to 85% compared to standard USB2.0 portable hard drives.
Buffalo Backup utility provides easy data backup and restore solutions. The media storage device includes SecureLockManager Mobile for Windows – which encrypts and secures all personal data, preventing unauthorised access.
