MIDDLE EAST : Buffalo Technology bundles NAS portfolio with award winning NovaBACKUP Data Protection Software

Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of storage, wireless networking and memory solutions, today announces its plans of integrating NovaStor’s data protection software with their entire portfolio of network attached storage solutions. Buffalo LinkStation™ and TeraStation™ will soon be rolling out with the bundled NovaBACKUP data protection software, which combines full local and online backup capabilities.
Buffalo Technology selected NovaBACKUP for improving the convenience of storing, protecting data and business continuity of Buffalo’s workstations and servers. According to the storage vendor, data protection is extremely important and often overlooked. The company’s goal is to provide valued customers with first-class, cost effective backup solutions.

Buffalo’s LinkStation™ family of consumer NAS solutions will be bundled with 5 licenses of NovaBACKUP Professional. The software is an easy-to-use backup solution that automatically backs up personal documents along with photos, music and important email files safely and securely. With advanced features such as Bare Metal Restore (BMR) and system imaging, the new LinkStations™ can complete system restoration, simply and quickly.
The Buffalo TeraStation™ family of business class NAS solutions will feature 10 licenses of NovaBACKUP Business Essentials software. The new software provides a complete, all-in-one data protection solution for small and medium businesses serious about protecting digital assets. Features include backup support for Microsoft® Windows Server® operating systems, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server® backup agents as well as Open File Manager Agent and Bare Metal Restore, for easy business continuity solutions. All Buffalo LinkStation™ and TeraStation™ products purchased from 21st June, 2010, and after, are eligible for a free upgrade if the purchased device did not contain NovaBACKUP.
All LinkStation™ and TeraStation™ products purchased prior to the 21st June 2010 will also be offered a competitive upgrade to relevant NovaBACKUP product.
